Our purpose

More than a roof.
A foundation for life.

Returning home is a moment.
Rebuilding a life is a journey.

Charis Residential Community (CRC) is a transitional housing and reentry program designed to support men returning to Georgia communities after incarceration, along with individuals who need structured recovery housing, including drug-court referrals.

Our mission brings together safe housing, employment opportunities, recovery resources, behavioral-health support, and life skills—helping men and families build healthy, responsible, and independent lives.

Support for the whole person

Room to rebuild.
Support to move forward.

Our planned model connects everyday stability with the relationships, skills, and accountability that make lasting change possible.

The path forward

One step at a time.
A future built together.

Every resident’s journey is individual. The proposed program phases provide a framework for growth, with regular case-management reviews.

Phase 01 · 0–30 days

Find stability.

Housing, orientation, assessment, identification, supervision coordination, and a personal reentry plan.

Phase 02 · 30–90 days

Build momentum.

Job readiness, employment, recovery services, and support for healthy relationships.

Phase 03 · 90–180 days

Grow in responsibility.

Steady employment, budgeting, savings, family restoration, and increasing independence.

Phase 04 · 180+ days

Move forward.

Preparation for independent housing, career advancement, community involvement, and aftercare.

Timelines are a program framework, not a guarantee. Individual needs and requirements guide each resident’s plan.

Restoration reaches further

When one life changes,
a family can grow stronger.

Incarceration affects the entire family. CRC’s vision includes support for spouses and children, parenting and fatherhood development, healthier communication, and opportunities for reunification.

“Housing provides the foundation, but lasting change requires employment, healthy relationships, behavioral change, recovery, personal responsibility, and meaningful participation in the community.”

A little more clarity

Questions about
Charis?

Who is the program designed to serve?

CRC is designed primarily for men returning to Georgia communities after incarceration, as well as individuals requiring structured recovery housing, including drug-court participants. Eligibility will depend on individual needs, housing availability, supervision requirements, and the program’s ability to provide appropriate support.

Is religious participation required?

No. The program vision includes voluntary Christian spiritual-development opportunities. Participation in explicitly religious activities will remain voluntary and subject to applicable program and funding requirements.

What does accountability look like?

The model combines support with clear expectations: respect for others, residential rules, assigned programming, employment when able, supervision compliance, recovery responsibilities, and work toward independent housing.

Can families and community organizations get involved?

The program vision includes relationships with employers, churches, recovery and behavioral-health providers, education and workforce organizations, and family-support services. These are planned partnership areas; specific partnerships are not confirmed here.

How do I apply or make a referral?

Admissions availability, referral instructions, program fees, location, and direct contact details are not specified in the supplied program document. Review the program overview below; confirmed intake information will need to be added before referrals can be submitted through this page.
